Tami Thetford has been a proud part of Eagles Talent since 2007 and is one of our event managers who act as the liaison between our clients and speakers to ensure that every event runs smoothly and is a great success. This past month she also became a warrior for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly childhood diseases) and raising just shy of $5,000 dollars.

Deciding to do the Warrior Dash began with those things, for purely selfish reasons. Once I talked a few friends into joining me, we discovered that we could use the opportunity to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. If each person raised $250, we could get access to the VIP tent, with (gasp!) hot showers after the event! That’s really all I was shooting for at first, but then as our generous co-workers, friends and families began to make our total rise, it became more about the fundraising.
When we noticed that we were the number 2 team in all of New Jersey, we doubled our efforts and took over the top spot and stayed there. For every single one of us, it was one of the most amazing days of our lives, because of the Dash, yes, but more importantly because we had done something good.
