In honor of MLK Jr.’s birthday, we believe it’s imperative to recognize his importance as an American Baptist minister and activist. He is remembered as one of the most influential leaders of the civil rights movement.

Multimedia artist, motivational speaker, and innovator, Phil Hansen, pays tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. through his art. (Pictured left) In this portrait, Hansen references a quote by MLK that states, “We must come to see that the end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience. That will be a day not of the white man, not of the black man, that will be the day of man as man.“
