About Melanie Rice
With a B.A. in Music from Rowan College and the University of Delaware, Melanie set out for Atlantic City singing back-up for Grover Washington Jr., Joe Piscapo, James Darren, and opening for headliners such as Smokey Robinson, Joan Rivers, David Brenner and Shecky Greene. Melanie has appeared in every lounge in Atlantic City with extended engagements at Harrah's, Trump Plaza, Tropicana and Caesar's.
Atlantic City Magazine dubbed her as "one of the city's hottest young talents," "on her way to the top" and it's readers agreed when they nominated her "Opening Act of the Year" in a reader's poll.
In 1990, Melanie and her band joined The Entertainment Group, Inc. and spent the next five years establishing their reputation as one of the area's top special events orchestras.
Currently the President of her own entertainment company, Melanie stands out as a consummate professional who has gained the admiration and respect of countless clients.
