Actor Larry Hagman is perhaps best known for his roles as the villainous J.R. Ewing on Dallas and straight-laced Major Anthony Nelson on I Dream of Jeannie. Off-screen, Larry is actively involved in numerous civic and philanthropic activities. An adamant non-smoker, Larry was chairperson of the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout from 1981 to 1992. In 1995, following his successful liver transplant surgery, he joined forces with the National Kidney Foundation to bring attention to the need for organ donation.
