Dave Dravecky’s story is one of hope, courage and perseverance in the midst of dark and overwhelming uncertainty. In 1988 Dave was at the top of his game and life. In his seventh year as a MLB pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, a cancerous tumor was discovered in Dave's pitching arm. The next years were a whirlwind of surgery, radiation, pain and depression, all in the glaring light of the media. Defying all odds, after battling cancer in his pitching arm, Dave Dravecky came back to pitch once again in the Major Leagues.
