Mark Bennick knew he was a magician when as a child he successfully pulled off a stacking ball illusion that just happened to resemble a giant Stratosphere.
Mark’s career is headed straight up with this years recent appearance on “Showtime At The Apollo”. With that television experience under his belt, Bennick is back going full guns in Las Vegas….waiting for his next break in his own comfort zone where his magic shows are a family operation. With his model/actress/assistant Rachelle, Mark has the good fortune of having some of the finest performing rooms in his backyard. “Showtime at the Apollo” spotted him at The Orleans.
Having performed all over Las Vegas: the Mirage, Monte Carlo, The Paris and the Stardust, to name a few, many are surprised to discover that Mark is the youngest showroom illusionist in Las Vegas.
“I owe a lot to Lance (Burton), Ronn (Lucas), Mac (King), and Rick (Thomas). They inspire me, and a couple of them have actually sort of helped me and advised me on my Corporate's and fundraisers. Las Vegas is a real tough market and these guys have all done quite well…..” Bennick says. Las Vegas Leisure Guide says “Mark brings back fond memories of a 19 year old David Copperfield.”
Mark loves wowing the audience with his non stop magic and he also has a great sense of humor and a quick wit.
“Sometimes the usual trappings are the best. People love the sword box. It’s still just swords and a box, but it’s how you execute the thing……..and is the audience having fun? That’s what I care about.”
Wise beyond his years….he’s an old magician’s soul in a young body. It’s all about the magical possibilities. Bennick is so far ahead of the game at 20, it boggles the mind to think of the future possibilities and new exciting moments on TV waiting ahead for this young man. For right now, his successful appearance on “Showtime At The Apollo” is just the beginning.
