Barry John is one of the most popular and exciting performers in the history of Western civilization. Originally from Michigan, Barry's career began at the age of twelve when his cousin taught him to juggle three baseballs. A passion for the art of juggling soon developed, along with a massive and growing desire for attention. At this early age, it became clear to Barry that he was destined to be a performer.
As a young teenager, Barry’s family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville turned out to be a great place for his burgeoning talent. Barry did hundreds of shows at all types of venues and events there, including opening for country music stars like Jerry Reed, the Hager Brothers, Mel McDaniel and Amy Grant.
After spending the first part of his adult years traveling around the United States (doing shows in theaters, colleges, and casinos), Barry was recruited by one of the world’s most exclusive cruise lines, Royal Viking Line. On Royal Viking, Barry traveled all over the world, seeing exciting places and meeting interesting people. He went to Egypt, Australia, Kenya, Morocco, Argentina, Russia, Japan, and Thailand, to name a few places. He rubbed elbows with celebrities like Marvin Hamlisch, Evander Holyfield, and Jack Paar.
With a penchant for the cruise industry (and warm weather), Barry set up residence in South Florida in 1991. Since then, Barry has continued to travel and perform in many places and at many events, including theaters, conventions, corporate functions, and as the opening act for celebrities. Barry still enjoys working on cruises and has now performed on 13 cruise lines and 58 different ships. His travels have taken him to 49 states and over 60 countries. On October 9th, 2007, Barry was featured on "The Late Show With David Letterman" alongside Jennifer Lopez and Alan Greenspan.
Barry now lives in Port Saint Lucie, Florida with his wife, son and two daughters. He still loves learning new tricks and creating new comedy. He has recently taken up fishing but has not caught any fish yet.
