Jonathan Arons is a grammy winning New York City based freelance trombonist, actor, singer, and dancer who has made a number of appearances on television, most notably for his "trombone dance" in which he plays his trombone and then dances energetically (whilst still holding his trombone). His North American television appearances include just ending his run on season 3 of America's Got Talent, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today Show (twice), Steve Harvey's Big Time, and Showtime in Harlem (twice). In the UK he has appeared on the BBC shows When Will I Be Famous? and the children's show, The Slammer. He plays on the 2005 grammy winning Dave Holland Big Band album "Overtime". In addition he has played with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Gloria Gaynor, John Mayer, the Temptations and many others. He has degrees in Jazz Performance and Biochemistry from Oberlin Conservatory and College respectively. He is also the author of the upcoming book "Uncle Tim's Condo" about how society is affected by the stereotype that white people are bad dancers with no rhythm. In addition he promotes his mother's school The Melody Arons Center for Applied Preschool Research, which was created in memory of his sister Melody who was multiply handicapped and tragically murdered in 1998. Coming from a family of artists and civil rights activists, Jonathan continues the tradition through entertainment and education and celebrating life through his craft.
