Master tribute artist Philip Bauer has been recreating the music and live performance of Johnny Cash since 1985. Bauer’s uncanny look and stage presence take his audience back to the good old days, when Cash was the king of country music.
In 1996, Charlie Daniels said, “Philip Bauer’s portrayal of Johnny Cash is the best I’ve ever seen.” With more than three dozen years mastering ‘the Cash Man’, Bauer’s almost done it all and has performed with some of the biggest stars of country music; from LeAnn Rhimes to Vince Gill, Joe Diffie and Toby Keith! Bauer also headlined at the Minnesota State Fair, where he performed with a 40-piece orchestra. In 2005 he sang to a capacity crowd of 16,000 people at the Memorial Concert commemorating the Oklahoma City tragedy.
