Armed with a degree in animal science, Jim combined the principles of human behavior with the principles of animal behavior to come up with what he calls "Cowboy Psychology." Cowboy Psychology revolves around his basic tenet of human motivation: "Without a purpose our only motivation is reward and punishment." But purpose is the only motive that appeals to the human spirit and empowers us to rise above our animal natures.
