Harry Belafonte has been called “the consummate entertainer”- a concert singer, recording artist, a movie, Broadway and television star. Harry won the Tony Award, his third album Calypso was the first to sell over a million copies, starred in the movies CARMEN JONES, UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT and ISLAND IN THE SUN. He was named cultural advisor to the Peace Corps, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and was the first recipient of the Nelson Mandela Courage Award. With industry support he started the “We Are the World” Video.
