Working with Eagles Talent

Q:
This is my first time booking a speaker or entertainer. Where do I begin?
A:

A conversation: An Eagles Talent consultant conducts a “needs analysis” to find out as much as possible about your event or meeting. They look at your objectives, expectations, budget range and the exact makeup of your audience to recommend what presenter best fits your needs.

Select and Confirm: Once you have selected a speaker, we have you complete a firm offer form including the date, location, fee, as well as additional information. The speaker will review the offer and confirm. Once confirmed, a contract containing the agreed upon terms is issued to you.

Event Logistics: Our event management team will work closely with you to coordinate all event logistics and details, from transportation and hotel for the speaker to any technical requirements.

Before, During and After: Our focus is to make the speaker portion of your event run smoothly and successfully. After the event, we follow up and listen to your feedback on the speaker’s presentation. Building a long-term relationship with our clients based on trust and open communication is our goal.

Q:
Will I be able to speak with a presenter before I book him or her?
A:

In most cases, yes. We are happy to arrange a conference call with a speaker. These calls help provide further insight as to how the speaker could best meet your objectives and expectations.

Can we book speakers for a webevent/webinar through Eagles Talent?
A:

Yes. We understand that some clients are turning to online solutions to communicate a message, provide business tips, or, for networking and training initiatives. Eagles Talent can meet your online web-event needs, by offering the best speakers in the world.

Fees and Additional Costs

Q:
Does Eagles Talent charge for its consulting services?
A:

No. Our fee is contained in the speaker’s fee.

Q:
What are the payment terms?
A:

The standard arrangement is the following: a deposit, along with the signed contract. The remaining balance is due prior to the presentation. Typically, expenses for travel and other incidentals will be billed after the event.

Q:
Are there any other costs in addition to the speaker’s presentation fee?
A:

Yes. Clients normally cover the following for the speaker:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Ground transportation
  • Overnight accommodations
  • Food and incidentals (sometimes arranged as a per diem charge).
  • Audio/visual equipment (especially when booking high-end entertainers or high-profile celebrities)

Event Details

Q:
Who books the speaker’s travel arrangements?
A:

Although this may vary, most speakers prefer to handle the travel arrangements themselves. Our event-management team will assist you every step of the way to handle the speaker’s travel logistics to meet your event timeline. Eagles Talent will provide you, prior to the engagement date, the presenter’s final (detailed) travel itinerary and all other pertinent information. Travel and incidental expenses (delineated in the contract) are usually billed after the engagement.

Q:
Can I invite the speaker to an activity surrounding the event? (Example: a dinner, meet & greet, photo op)
A:

Generally, most speakers are willing to attend activities beyond their presentation, but this varies with each speaker. All arrangements and requests for extra activities (such as autographs, photo-ops, receptions) should be arranged in advance during the initial offer. Our team is happy to help you find solutions that fit your event needs.

Q:
What happens in the event that I have to cancel the presenter?
A:

Fortunately, we have an extremely rare cancellation history. Given that, each presenter’s cancellation policy will be clearly outlined in the contract. Typically, your deposit will cover a portion of the lost compensation to the presenter incurred by the cancellation. However, we will always work with you to ensure the best outcome possible.

Can I record a video or audio of the performance?
A:

Written permission must be obtained prior to the presentation. Permission varies based on the purpose of the recording and the speaker’s personal policy.

If I’m a speaker, how can I get Eagles Talent to represent me?
A:
