March 6, 2018
Posted by Alexis Washington

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today is Episode Thirteen of our YouTube series, Tuesday’s Tips!

In 3 days the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games will begin in PyeongChang. The Games will feature up to 670 athletes, who will compete in 80 medal events across six sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, snowboard and wheelchair curling.

Amy Purdy was a 2014 U.S. Paralympian and Adaptive Snowboarder with a remarkable story of triumph and overcoming adversity.

Alana Nichols is another example of an inspiring paralympian who didn’t give up after being paralyzed from a spinal cord injury. She later became a three-Time Paralympic Gold Medalist in Alpine Skiing & Basketball.
