Andy Gersh performs regularly with the long-running, critically acclaimed show Speakeasy Magick, at the McKittrick Hotel (“Top Five Things to Do,” TimeoutNY), and has become a favorite at corporate events and private parties throughout the Greater New York Area and beyond. Virtual events, too.
Most recently, Andy had the great honor of performing on the hit CW TV show Penn and Teller: Fool Us, where he won their prestigious Fool Us trophy. Of Andy’s appearance, Penn Jillette said, “Nice…clean…beautiful… friendly… and you FOOLED us!”
According to Jillette, since the show premiered in 2011, only 10% of the magicians appearing on the show have managed to fool the legendary duo. During season 9 he became part of that elite crowd of about 40 magicians worldwide.
Digg.com recently named Andy’s performance as one of “The Ten Best Tricks in the History of Penn and Teller: Fool Us.“
In order to fool them, Andy performed a notoriously difficult style of card magic. It was made even more demanding in the context of performing for a 16-camera set up, while the godfathers of modern magic sat close and scrutinized his every move.
A year after his win, Andy was invited to return to Vegas and had the great honor of performing his award-winning routine alongside Penn and Teller in their celebrated stage show at the Rio hotel.
