What’s your role at Eagles Talent, and what does a typical week look like for you?
“I work with clients to help them match the best speaker to their desired outcomes.”
What first drew you to the speaker/event industry?
“I had worked in several areas in the event world — from the kitchen, to banquet management, to catering sales. This was an aspect of the event world I had yet to explore.”
When a client comes to you without a clear idea of what kind of speaker they need, how do you help them figure it out?
“Conversation and discussion about how they want the event to feel and what their objectives are for hiring a speaker.”
What’s a moment from a past event that reminded you why you love this work?
“I love hearing about the successes of programs.”
If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning their first big corporate event, what would it be?
“Don’t gatekeep info — transparency is best!”
What trends are you seeing right now in what companies want from a keynote speaker?
“I think clients need speakers who have a high engagement status to keep attendee attention.”
What’s your go-to solution when something goes wrong day-of?
“Luckily, this rarely happens. When it does, extreme responsiveness — even from afar — constant communication, and jumping into action to figure out solutions!”
Outside of work, what’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
“I am addicted to audiobooks — historical fiction is my favorite genre!”
