Brad Holmes has quickly established himself as one of the top executives in the NFL. After being hired in 2021, Holmes has taken the Lions from the bottom of the league back to a winning team. In 2023, the Lions made the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and won their first playoff game in 30 years. Holmes was named NFL Executive of the Year in 2023.
Before joining the Lions, Holmes spent twenty years in the Rams front office, working his way up in the scouting department and last serving as the Director of College Scouting.
Holmes has had to overcome many obstacles to get to where he is today, including a near-fatal car accident while he was in college. Holmes attended North Carolina A&T and played football for the team, where he was voted team captain by his teammates. His father, Melvin, and his uncle, Luther, both played professionally in the NFL.
