Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Jessica Herrin

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign was created to increase knowledge and awareness of the disease.

Jessica Herrin is the CEO and Founder of the jewelry & accessory company Stella & Dot. She’s also a keynote speaker who discusses topics on business, women’s issues and more. In addition to this, Jessica is also passionate about creating positive change in women’s lives through education and economic empowerment, and raises awareness for Breast Cancer and Autism. 

In 2010, she created the Stella & Dot Foundation, which raises money for these causes. And every October, the foundation donates it’s proceeds in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The way it works is quite simple — on the Stella & Dot website, there is a Foundation tab that offers beautiful jewelry that’s specially made for each cause. So far, the foundation has donated over $2.4 million to it’s causes.
