Leaders today operate in high demand, high pressure environments and are expected to do more (with less) year over year. Often their challenge is not a capability issue, but a capacity issue. What can we learn from 40 years of human performance research, that the sport and military worlds have known for decades?
Here’s a hint: our biology, physiology, and psychology have a direct impact and immediate impact on our ability to show up at our best more of the time at work and at home.
In this interactive session, your leaders will learn to leverage their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy to sustain high performance, stay productive, and remain fully engaged in their organizational and personal missions, without sacrificing their health, happiness, or relationships in the process.
Participants will learn to:
• Better manage their energy to drive sustained high performance.
• Change their story about how much control they have over their energy, well-
being, and performance.
• Connect daily habits and decisions with a greater purpose and grow personal
accountability.
Stress is an ever present part of life and the workplace – now more than ever. When we fail to consider this critical variable in performance optimization, we can grossly miss our mark no matter how well crafted our employee and talent management processes.
What if there was a way to get back in the driver’s seat of our stress and improve our performance at work, at home, and in your relationships at the same time? Recent research has revealed new insights about stress and the brain- we’re all uniquely wired to experience stress in different ways…we all have a different “stress personality.
” What does this mean for our potential to grow, our performance at work, our openness to new ideas, or our ability to meaningfully connect with others (all of which are essential ingredients to a strong work culture)?
In this engaging, science -grounded session, participants will explore the science behind stress personalities and why it’s important to know this as individuals and leaders.
Participants will explore 8 different stress personalities (and guess their own), learn why and how we all uniquely recover from stress differently, and explore best practices to apply this to their life and leadership strategy.
Participants will learn:
• To identify 8 different types of stress personalities, including their own.
• New techniques that leverage brain sciences to transform their experience of stress.
• Best practices to integrate this research into their own leadership strategies or teams.
Dr. Hodges also has a book on the subject available which can be used for conference giveaways, book signings, post-session deep dives and coaching, etc.
Did you know there is a science-based formula to thriving through stress, challenge, and change? Resilience is often defined as the ability to “weather the storms” of life, work, or unexpected challenges. But how as individuals or teams do we move from this space of reactivity and weathering storms, challenges, and change to taking control and thriving, or even growing, through them? That’s where Agility comes in.
Agility is more than being resilient: it’s a formula for real, sustainable growth and thriving in our lives. Why Agility? Because agility is about maneuvering and even thriving through stress and storms. It’s about doing more with less, without burning out. An agile person is self-aware: they have the right mindset for success, a vision of who they want to be and what matters most, and they create an environment to be that person most of the time. Agility doesn’t happen overnight: it’s a rewiring of your brain.
In this session you’ll learn a formula to build agility and walk away with simple techniques to help you create new habits and mindset to support lasting change. This is the first step to putting yourself back in the driver’s seat of your own success.
Participants will learn:
• How the biology of stress impacts performance, and how to make it work for them, and not against them.
• How to shift their “stress mindset” to one of growth, resilience, and high performance in all types of environments.
• ·Strategies to leverage vision, values, and mindset to strengthen agility through even the toughest of storms.
Sometimes our workload and daily demands feel endless: the to-do’s, calls, meetings, projects, planning, birthdays, kids’ sports schedules…the list goes on. How often do your days leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and disengaged from the people and things that matter the most?
Did you know that there is brain science as to why you feel this way? And, there’s a way to combat it? The science of cognition, stress, and human performance provides us new insights about why we aren’t meant to go full force all day, and what we truly need to be high performers at work and in life.
In this session, you will learn a new framework to rethink what it means to perform, recover, and thrive. Dr. Hodges will use brain and human performance sciences to tell the story of burnout and offer tools you can use right away to have more energy, feel less stressed, and take your performance to the next level.
Participants will:
• Identify tools to recharge energy, focus, and attention.
• Leverage brain science to build new work habits that drive high performance,
not burnout.
• Increase energy, build resilience, and thrive at work and in life with small
changes that lead to lasting results.

“We at FlightSafety place high value on our employees’ health and well-being in a time of ever increasing healthcare costs. Experiences like this not only serve to show our team that we care about them personally, but we also consider Lauren’s team a long term return on investment. We’d highly recommend the team to any employer looking to increase the value of his or her business through an investment in employee health and wellness.”
“Lauren is exceptional. From the moment we met, she was instantly captivating. Her
calm confidence and intellect is immediately reassuring. We knew we absolutely
wanted to partner with her for our Women in Healthcare Leadership Symposium.
Lauren was so flexible with our group. She quickly found time to reschedule when our
event was moved due to an incoming hurricane. We always felt Lauren was by our side,
championing our efforts, leading with us, together. Her keynote address was
outstanding and we have received so much feedback from emerging leaders and
seasoned leaders that she provided exactly what everyone needed and what everyone
was seeking from the opener in our symposium. We are so grateful to have worked
alongside Lauren. I recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you, Lauren!!!”
“Recently, our team had the distinct pleasure of working with Lauren when she spoke at
the first-ever Women Leaders in Manufacturing Event in Northeast Florida. Lauren’s
content was science based and practical – focusing on a topic very real to us all –
STRESS! Even better, her style is so engaging and warm! She connected so well with
this sold out audience of women leaders. Big thank you to Lauren – the reviews from
the event were absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend!”
