PODCAST Interview: Jerry Mathers, ‘Leave it to Beaver’ star and Diabetes Speaker

Posted by Sheldon Senek

Jerry Mathers, best known as “the Beaver” on the 1950s television show Leave it to Beaver,  has been entertaining families for generations. We’ve gone from June and Ward Cleaver to the Braverman’s of the current television hit Parenthood.  Jerry frequently discussed the American family, and how it has changed over the last fifty years. He and “the Beaver” have become synonymous world wide.  Listening to Jerry talk about being a childhood star, you can tell he is so appreciative of the show’s success. Aside from acting in film, TV, and Broadway, he’s been using his celebrity status for an extremely important cause, spreading awareness about diabetes.

In this Eagles Talent Podcast episode, host Sheldon Senek talks with Jerry Mathers (a.k.a. “the Beaver”) about growing up in front of America, his television show Leave it to Beaver, and how diabetes changed his life.
