Meg Johnson was injured in a hiking accident inSouthern Utah when she was 22. She fell 45 feet and is now a quadriplegic, paralyzed from her chest down without the use of her hands. Wheelchair bound, but determined, Meg refuses to sit still.
Since she was paralyzed, Meg has competed at the Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant in New York, winning the Spirit Award. Upon returning home, she founded Ms. Wheelchair Utah for adult women in wheelchairs, and its sister organization, The Princess Pageant, for little girls who use wheelchairs.
In addition to creating her own successful speaking business, Meg is a co-founder of Jumping Turtle, a live events company that shares messages from established and aspiring speakers on the stage and through its app with a worldwide audience.
Meg has written multiple books and recorded numerous live talks. She continually inspires others through her social media andYouTube channel. Meg is the creator of Happiness101, a program to help find and hold onto happiness and she also coaches.
She is the recipient of the Athena Award, an honor given to inspiring women in business who support other women. Meg is married with three daughters and one son and she is the 2023 Utah Mother of the Year.
Her story of triumph is repeatedly covered by local, national, and international media. In a multitude of ways, Meg continues to inspire people of all abilities with her motto, “When life gets too hard to stand, just keep on rollin’.
