Michael Strahan is a Super Bowl champion, Pro Hall of Famer, Emmy winner, and Peabody award-winning journalist who currently co-anchors ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Strahan also hosts the top-rated primetime game show favorite “$100,000 Pyramid” on ABC, produced by SMAC Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television. He was honored by the New York State Broadcasters Association as its Broadcaster of the Year for 2022.
During the NFL football season, Strahan serves as an analyst of “Fox NFL Sunday,” for which he received a 2019 Sports Emmy Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst’, 2020 Sports Emmy Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Studio Show – Weekly’, and 2020 Sports Emmy Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst’ for NFL on FOX. In 2022, Strahan was honored with a star in the newest category of ‘Sports Entertainment’ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Strahan brings his skills, determination, leadership, experience, and humor to the
multi-dimensional talent management firm, business incubator, and production company. SMAC has an exciting slate of premium content projects with ABC studios, HBO, and Prime Video, to name a few. Notable projects include “The $100,000 Pyramid” (ABC), “BS High” (MAX/HBO), “Coach Prime” (Prime Video), “The Cost of Winning” (HBO), “Kids’ Choice Sports Awards” (Nickelodeon), “More Than An Athlete” (ESPN), “Play it Forward” (Showtime), “The Joker’s Wild” (TNT/TBS), “ESPN 30 for 30: Deion’s Double Play” (ESPN), and “The Cupcake Guys” (Roku). SMAC is developing the scripted series “Cayne” for BET+, based on Ian Smith’s novel “The Unspoken” and written by Gregory Poirier.
Strahan and SMAC are also developing the scripted animated series “Blue Origin Space Rangers” with Blue Origin and Kartoon Studios, starring a team of junior astronauts exploring the depths of space to discover new worlds and conduct
experiments in the great unknown. Additionally, “The Frontline,” a scripted series about an NFL player-turned-doctor written by Marc Halsey, is in the works with ABC Signature. Along with Tom Brady and Gotham Chopra, Strahan co-founded the Emmy- award winning sports media content company Religion of Sports, which produced the documentary feature “The Great Brady Heist.”
As an actor, Strahan tackled the world of scripted network primetime television as the star of “Brothers,” a 30-minute sitcom on Fox from Sony Pictures Television. Strahan has also made memorable cameo appearances in the hit films “Magic Mike XXL” (2015) and “Charlie’s Angels” (2019). He has also lent his voice to the animated film “Ice Age: Collision Course.”
Prior to joining the ranks of the country’s top sports broadcasters, Strahan’s 15-year football career was typified by the charisma and sportsmanship that made him a seven-time Pro-Bowler and one of only four players ever to lead the NFL in sacks for multiple seasons. His spectacular NFL career resulted in Strahan receiving the sport’s highest honor in 2014: election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Strahan led the New York Giants to a dramatic Super Bowl victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots in 2007.
In 2001, Strahan completed what is widely considered one of the greatest seasons ever for a defensive player, breaking the 18-year-old NFL single season sack record with 22.5 sacks. His record still stands today. He was named the NFL’s 2001 Player of the Year by Sports Illustrated and the 2001 Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press, making him the first New York Giant to win the award since Lawrence Taylor.
From 2012-2016, Strahan co-hosted the top-rated, nationally syndicated entertainment talk show “LIVE with Kelly and Michael.” Strahan and co-host Kelly Ripa were the co-winners of the 2015 and 2016 Daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.” Since joining “Good Morning America,” the morning show has won the Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Morning Program” in 2017 and 2018. In 2021, Strahan received the prestigious Peabody Award.
In 2015, Strahan released his best-selling book, “Wake Up Happy: The Dream Big, Win Big Guide to Transforming Your Life,” which includes personal stories and motivational advice to inspire readers to turn up the heat and go from good to great in pursuit of their personal ambitions. The paperback edition was released in October 2016.
In an effort to offer a more intimate picture of Michael Strahan’s life, the second season of ESPN+’s original series “UNINTERRUPTED More Than An Athlete” concentrated on Strahan’s journey, including his successes and failures. The four-part season, produced in partnership with Springhill Entertainment, premiered in September 2021, highlighting Strahan’s childhood in Germany, his professional football career, and more recent ventures as an entrepreneur and media personality.
Acting on his entrepreneurial spirit, in 2015, Strahan launched Collection by Michael Strahan, a men’s and boy’s tailored clothing and accessories line. A year later, Strahan expanded his brand and launched MSX by Michael Strahan to offer a casual lifestyle line of apparel and accessories. Now under one umbrella, the Michael StrahanTM lifestyle brand has become a top-selling brand with 50+ categories in men, boys, and accessories. The apparel is available at Men’s Wearhouse, Moores Clothing, JCPenney’s and other retailers worldwide. In 2020 the brand went back to Strahan’s football roots and announced a partnership with G-III Apparel to launch an exclusive limited-edition Super Bowl LIV capsule collection in celebration of the NFL’s 100th season. On the heels of its success, Strahan and G-III Apparel teamed up with The NFL Consumer Products Division to expand the line with dedicated team apparel for all 32 NFL teams. The line is
available on Fanatics.com, team shops, various retailers nationwide and exclusive styles are offered on QVC. Michael StrahanTM continues to evolve and meet the needs of consumers with a Custom suit program that is available at Men’s Wearhouse stores nationwide.

The product is available on Amazon.com and Target.com, and online and in stores at CVS, Rite Aid, Men’s Wearhouse.
His partnership with SeeHer is the latest effort by Strahan to give back to the community, a commitment he has demonstrated throughout the various chapters of his career. Since 2010, he has been a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, filming holiday promotions as well as donating his time and celebrity to fundraising.
In December 2021, Strahan took a flight to space with Jeff Bezos’s aerospace company, Blue Origin, on their third passenger space mission. Born in Houston, Texas, Strahan spent most of his youth in Germany, where his father Gene was
stationed in the U.S. Army. Strahan returned to the U.S. for a portion of high school and soon was recruited to play football at Texas Southern University.
A father of four, Strahan currently spends his time between New York and Los Angeles.
