Nina Easton is a best-selling author, award-winning magazine writer, and former TV commentator who combines stage charisma with sophisticated global perspective at events—both live and virtual. For more than a decade she chaired Fortune Most Powerful Women International and co-chaired the Fortune Global Forum—conceiving and casting high-profile events, and conducting interviews with top figures in global business and international affairs. Her repertoire also includes moderating and hosting events for a range of leading companies–such as Microsoft, Accenture, PayPal, SAP—and associations across a range of industries.
Before founding her multimedia storytelling company, SellersEaston Media, Nina was the Washington editor and national columnist at Fortune, covering politics, the economy, and foreign affairs. A familiar TV face, she was a regular commentator on Fox News’ primetime news shows, including Special Report and Fox News Sunday, and a political analyst on such programs as Meet the Press, Face the Nation, and Charlie Rose.
Over more than a decade, her commentary from the front lines of elections, political news, and economic trends earned her a reputation for independent, in-depth and thoughtful analysis. Her 2002 book on the conservative movement, Gang of Five, is featured on the Vox list of “books to read to understand the world.”
She won numerous national awards during a decade with the Los Angeles Times, and later as Washington editor and national columnist at Fortune, covering politics, the economy, and foreign affairs. In 2012, she was chosen as a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. At the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the prominent Washington, D.C., foreign affairs think tank, she founded and continues to host the global affairs series “Smart Women, Smart Power,” bringing world leaders and diplomats to the stage for insightful interviews.
