Ran Carthon currently serves as the General Manager of the Tennessee Titans. Before being hired by the Titans earlier this year, Carthon spent six (6) seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, serving as the Director of Player Personnel for the last two (2) seasons. Carthon has a successful history of working in scouting, dating back to his years with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams serving as their Director of Pro Personnel (2012-2016) and with the Atlanta Falcons serving as a Pro Scout (2008- 2011).
Before entering the scouting world, Carthon played running back in the NFL for three (3) seasons, primarily with the Indianapolis Colts. Carthon graduated from the University of Florida where he played four (4) years and was a member of the Gators 2000 SEC Championship team, eclipsing over 1,300 rushing yards in his collegiate career.
Carthon grew up in an NFL family with his father, Maurice, having a distinguished playing and coaching career in the league. Carthonwas born in Osceola, Arkansas and attended high school at Key West High School in Key West, Florida.
