Biography

Amid the chaotic forces impacting business and the economy, Ron Insana delivers clear insights that business leaders and financial professionals can use to make smarter decisions. A pioneering figure in television financial news, Ron is a fixture on television news shows and also currently hosts The Market Score Board Report, a daily nationally syndicated radio program, where he breaks down market-moving developments with clarity and perspective. As former CEO of iFi AI, an AI-powered stock research platform, Ron had a front row seat to the transformative AI revolution. He is also founder and CEO of The Insana Entertainment Group, a film and TV production company. Ron is the author of four books on investing and financial markets dynamics. In his speeches, Ron makes sense of the business, economic, technological, and political news – distilling them into actionable insights audiences can use to navigate change, protect what they have, and spot fresh opportunities. In addition to keynoting, Ron is an outstanding moderator and interviewer.

Ron’s career in financial reporting was a total accident. He had graduated from college with a degree in film production when a producer friend at the Financial News Network hired him on as a freelance producer in 1984. FNN was the first television network devoted exclusively to financial news. One day in 1985 the network’s only two anchors got sick on the same day, and Ron found himself on the air for a full eight-hour shift. That launched Ron’s financial broadcasting career. When the Financial News Network merged with CNBC in 1991, Ron became a regular anchor, analyst, and commentator there and a frequent presence on other NBCUniversal and VERSANT news channels, including MS NOW.

Ron was named one of the “Top 100 Business News Journalists of the 20th Century” and was nominated for a news and documentary Emmy for his role in NBC’s coverage of 9/11.

His four books on investing include: TrendWatching: Don’t Be Fooled by the Next Investment Fad, Mania, or Bubble; The Message of the Markets: How Financial Markets Foretell the Future–and How You Can Profit from Their Guidance; Traders’ Tales: A Chronicle of Wall Street Myths, Legends, and Outright Lies; and How to Make a Fortune from the Biggest Bailout in U.S. History: A Guide to the 7 Greatest Bargains from Main Street to Wall Street.

Ron is a highly regarded speaker on domestic and global economics, financial markets, economic policy issues, and technology trends impacting business. He graduated with honors from California State University at Northridge.

The Economy & Geopolitics in 2026: Everything Everywhere All at Once

If 2026 goes wrong, it won’t be because of one thing – it’ll be because everything hits the wall all at once. From a Fed credibility crisis to AI-driven job losses to re-escalating global conflicts, the vulnerabilities are quickly multiplying. From a potential bursting of an AI bubble to a looming private credit crisis, and from a head-on collision between the White House and a new Congress, to a full-blown confrontation between the U.S. and China, it is possible that multiple crises can hit the economy, markets, and business all in one year.

Ron’s goal: To make sure everything everywhere doesn’t happen to you all at once. Forewarned is forearmed…fortune favors those who are told.

Ron tailors this presentation to suit each audience. Sample topics:

• Will 2026 look more like 1929, 1979 or 1999?

• How will the Federal Reserve answer to Donald Trump?

• What does Federal Reserve policy mean for the economy and markets?

• How to scenario plan amid economic policy unpredictability.

• If Democrats retake the House, will they block, or reverse, any Trumponomics?

• The One Big Beautiful Bill fully takes effect in 2026. What’s the impact?

• Which is more important: weakening labor market and resurgent inflation?

• Will the wars between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Gaza still be hot in 2026?

• Will the AI build-out bubble burst? If not, who gets hurt the worst?

• Watching: Market hot spots, lofty valuations, shortfall profits, and private credit.

• Impact of most important policy changes on the overall economy.

• Immigration, jobs, inflation/stagflation, and economic growth.

• Global Hot Spots: The ones to watch that may affect your business.

• Watching: Corporate profits, energy, trade wars, and crypto.

• Debt, deficits, and the dollar.

Ron Insana Reviews

Our annual convention was a great success, thanks, in no small part, to Ron Insana’s involvement. Attendees were highly complementary, commenting on the relevance of your session.

— The Counselors of Real Estate

— CUES – Michigan Council

Ron Insana delivered the most insightful commentary across the political and economic landscape – all with great style and humor. Without slides or a script, he captivated the room – without exception, the audience absolutely loved him.

— Omnicom

Ron was perfect. No one could have done a better job. He was not only as good as I expected – he was even better. He’s a pro!

— Molloy College

Simply put, we could not be more pleased! In addition to having the ideal insights in the financial markets, policies and global economic drivers, Ron Insana was truly a pleasure to be around and extremely gracious of his time with our conference attendees. He provided seemingly unlimited access to all attendees interested in speaking with him. He made this year’s conference the very best ever. I hope that he becomes a regular in our circuit of speakers at both the state level here in North Carolina, and perhaps also with NAIOP events in DC and throughout the country.

— National Association of Industrial and Office Properties

“He was great. He spoke for 45 minutes, without notes, and was generous with his time before the event mingling with the audience and following the event as well. Strong feedback from attendees”

— Messiah Business Institute
