The Hubcaps consist of seven lead vocalists who are proficient on a number of instruments. Depending on the song, they use three saxophones, or two guitars, or multi-keyboards and/or all the percussion instruments. This instrumentation, blended with their rich vocals and harmonies produces tremendous sound qualities and reinforces their reputation for capturing a true likeness of the artist and the original recording.
The Hubcaps are presented and supported by their own self-contained sound, production and lighting, together with a team of professionals highly trained to produce each show.
They have been together for 30 years, traveling all over the US. The Hubcaps are constantly retained by major corporations and requested by national companies, including ICI of the Americas, The DuPont company, Pepsi-Cola, the Sun Oil Company, Ericsson, Holiday Inns, Inc, CASA, The NFL, The March of Dimes, The American Medical Association, So Others Might Eat, The Regional Airline Association, The Small Business Administration and The Amway Corporation. Political interests include performances for Senators Baucus, Jimeno, Mikulski and Chafin, with Congressman Castle and Governor Carper all hosting private parties attended by numerous ambassadors and international guests, and most recently, the Inaugural Ball of Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton.
Name recognition and their spotless reputation for quality entertainment annually requires the Hubcaps to headline major fund raisers, VIP private affairs with newly acquired demands for private fiftieth birthday parties. Their resume list of special events includes The Kentucky Derby, performing the National Anthem at Camden Yards for the Baltimore Orioles, not to mention the thrill of entertaining the President and Mrs. Clinton on the South Lawn of the White House. Hubcap tributes and medleys always make a big hit with their audiences.
Medleys include: Little Richard, The Everly Brothers, Elvis, The Coasters, The Mama’s and Papa’s, Connie Francis, The Platters, Buddy Holly, The Beach Boys, Sonny and Cher, Tina Turner and the Shirelles, plus the sounds of James Brown, Otis Redding and the hits from Motown.
The Hubcaps have performed with numerous national acts: The Association, Dan Aykroyd, Pat Boone, Mickey Gilley, Blood Sweat and Tears, Donnie and Marie Osmond, The Righteous Brothers, Bo Diddley, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Tokens, Jay and the Americans, Lesley Gore, Lou Christie, Freddie “Boom Boom” Cannon, The Vogues, The Marcels, Three Dog Night, Percy Sledge, Gary Puckett, Gene Chandler and Gladys Knight just to name a few.
