Top Destinations for Your 2020 Conference

Global DMC Partners is a global network of independently owned destination management companies and creative event experts. Each year, they release a Global Destination Index which ranks the best destinations around the world for events, conferences, and incentives. The top destinations that they choose are based on data collected from close to 7,000 programs in more than 500 different destinations. 

Last month, the index released the hottest destinations for the year to come. But more than just the best vacation spot goes into the planning. Visiting these destinations not only gives companies a fun destination for conferences, but gives companies the opportunity to give back. Global DMC Partner’s President and CEO, Catherine Chaulet, explained if companies focus on socially responsible initiatives through their events, they will be supporting local growth, reducing poverty, protecting the environment, and promoting peace in the destination. Chaulet went on to say, “The meetings and events industry must bring awareness to emerging or secondary destinations while showcasing ‘hidden gems’ within popular markets to avoid already overly toured areas.”
