Born into chaos, Ryan Stream’s life began in a drug house, marked by abuse, trauma, and his mother’s suicide. He bounced through foster homes, slept in homeless shelters, battled addiction, and went to jail 12 times, even after being adopted by a school teacher and a police officer.
He later served two combat tours in Afghanistan where 23 of the 32 soldiers in his platoon were wounded and one in his Unit was killed. After war, he faced PTSD, injuries, hearing loss, and failure. He flunked out of college four times and attempted suicide, but he didn’t stay down.
Today, Ryan is a TEDx speaker, bestselling author of four books, award-winning musician, and two-time war veteran. He has been featured in Forbes, appeared on MTV, and won the Verizon Wireless Award for the USA.
He holds degrees in Psychology and Family Science, raised 1.7 million dollars in student scholarships, and built multiple businesses, even after surviving a coal mine injury, a finger amputation, and a traumatic brain injury from being crushed in a semi-truck.
With blue collar hands and white collar skills, Ryan connects with every audience. His keynotes mix music, movement, storytelling, and strategy. He has performed blindfolded piano and rap on over 500 stages.
He is not just giving talks. He is – Building An Army Of Resilient Leaders.
