The Journey to Belonging

In this deeply personal and globally resonant keynote, Sun Ah Brock takes audiences on a journey through identity, separation, and ultimately, belonging. Born in Korea and adopted to North America at four years old, she shares the complexities of growing up disconnected from her culture, her origins, and her name, and how the search for belonging shaped her life, leadership, and purpose.

This speech, delivered in both Hawaii and Korea, is not just about one woman’s journey. It is a powerful reflection for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider, a misfit, or a stranger in their own family, community, or workplace.

Through rich storytelling, vulnerable insight, and sharp moments of clarity, Sun Ah invites her audience to reconsider what it means to belong and to ask themselves where they feel most at home. Her message is a reminder that belonging is not something we wait to be given. It is something we have the power to create.

Themes Explored:

  • Identity, loss, and the power of reclamation
  • Belonging across cultures, borders, and generations
  • How personal healing unlocks leadership potential
  • Why creating space for ourselves and others is the greatest form of community

Impact:
This keynote left audiences in both Hawaii and Korea deeply moved, sparking reflection, connection, and conversations long after the applause ended. With standing ovations in both countries, Sun Ah’s message struck a universal chord: that the journey home doesn’t always follow a straight line, but it always starts within.

Embrace Your Story to Empower Others

In this deeply moving and inspirational keynote, Sun Ah Brock shares the story of her beginnings. Abandoned at four years old in Korea and brought to North America as a child, she reveals how years of silence around that experience shaped her ambition, leadership style, and eventual breakthrough.

More than a personal narrative, this talk offers a powerful lens into how our untold stories influence how we lead, inspire, and connect. Sun Ah helps audiences understand that storytelling is one of the most human tools we have. When we share it with honesty, it becomes a bridge to belonging.

Audiences will learn how to:

  • Gain clarity on the personal narrative that drives their leadership and purpose
  • Build a personal story bank to draw from in conversations, networking, and selling ideas
  • Use storytelling to clarify purpose, strengthen personal brands, and communicate with clarity
  • Embrace vulnerability as a leadership strength and a path to belonging for themselves and those they lead

Perfect for:
Founders, entrepreneurs, leadership teams, women’s networks, brand-driven businesses, and anyone ready to lead with more presence, authenticity, and purpose.

Building a World of Human Connection Starts With Us

Connection is no longer a soft skill. It’s a business imperative.

In today’s hyper-connected workplace, teams are more digitally engaged than ever—but emotionally, many are disconnected, disengaged, and craving something deeper. This keynote is a call to rehumanize the way we lead, work, and connect.

Drawing on her experience as a founder, entrepreneur, and Korean-born adoptee, Sun Ah shares the personal story she once kept quiet and how embracing it transformed the way she build relationships, lead teams, and create culture. When we understand the power of connection, we stop managing people and start moving them.

This keynote offers a refreshing perspective for leaders, teams, and organizations ready to shift from transactional culture to one rooted in trust, belonging, and purpose-driven collaboration.

Key Takeaways:

  • The neuroscience of connection and why human-centered leadership drives performance
  • How to go beyond surface-level communication and create real engagement
  • Practical tools to build trust and psychological safety across teams and departments
  • Why vulnerability, storytelling, and empathy are the new leadership power skills

Ideal For:
Corporate leaders, executive teams, employee experience strategists, HR professionals, high-growth companies, DEI and culture conferences, hybrid and remote teams, and organizations ready to build cultures that retain top talent and unlock deeper connection.
