A proud Gen Xer, Scott Zimmer has been one of BridgeWorks’ generational keynote speakers for the past eight years. His presentations illustrate the common clashes and misunderstandings between generations, and provide straightforward solutions to help companies bridge generational gaps around communication and collaboration, recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, and most recently, hybrid work. Scott believes customization is the key to a successful session, so he works hard to understand each of his client’s specific needs.
Scott used his love of nostalgia and pop culture (he was a big fan of Atari and He-Man) and generational expertise to develop BridgeWorks’ generational trivia show, GenPop.
Scott grew up on a dairy farm in central Minnesota where he mastered the art of bailing hay and milking cows. He graduated from St. John’s University in 2000 with a BA in communications. In addition to researching and presenting, Scott is a self-proclaimed movie-buff and is always game to try the latest restaurant or craft beer hotspot.

There are now fewer Boomers in the US labor force than there are Millennials or Gen Xers, and 47% of business owners over 65 don’t have a transition plan.
